Dark Kitchen.

Love this kitchen I found at What Wilson Wants...

Tree. House.

Wouldn't it be awesome to have an actual tree in your house? This log gives a nice effect, without having to design around a growing, live tree. House designed by Pamela Makin, photography by Prue Roscoe.

Teepee or Treehouse

Now that the major work on the cabin has been completed, I'm already thinking towards the -- hopefully more fun, more crafty and way less expensive -- next projects. We're not talking about doing ANYTHING anytime soon, that was enough expense and headache for a while. But this little plot of land will be a life-long project, growing as we grow I'm sure. So, the next obvious question is; Teepee or Treehouse?

New Favorite House.

This is the most amazing home I have seen in a while. Love that it's quirky, but refined. The whole house is worth a look through the New York Times Website....

I want to live in this room. I love how the wallpaper mimics the trees outside......perfection.

Good Fire.

Someday -- not in this round of construction -- we will have a fireplace at the cabin. Here are some of my favorites.

A Collector.

The Greek home of Alketas Pazis, a collector of all things design from the 1900‘s – 1950’s. I so admire the passion that he brings to his space — just lovely. More about Alketas's collections — and more photos—

This Ranch/Case Study house of photographer Philip Newton in Seattle seems like such an amazing space. Love all the wood and floor-to-ceiling windows...

DIY.

Perhaps while the cabin is being worked on this summer we should make one of these as temporary lodging in Tahoe.
