Now that we are deep in winter I kind of wish we had gone for the winter wedding for the following reasons:
1. We are both completely obsessed with winter sports, and over the years it has been the one activity we always do together and as often as possible.
2. Flowers available in winter are much more varied to those available in the summer. In summer you are stuck with prozac flowers; big and bright and bold like dahlias, roses and tulips. In winter months you get the option of choosing more subtle beauties like violets, anemones, helleborus' and lily of the valley.
i just got back from the most magical winter wedding in austin.
ReplyDeletethe bride wore a sweater (it was unlike anything i've ever seen and SO. ELEGANT.) no hellebore, but there were pussy willows and bunches of sage and mountain laurel and tendrils of white sweet peas EVERYWHERE. i have post-wedding blues today. *sigh*
i just posted two polaroids (more to come) if you want to seeeeeee.
