Frederick (a.k.a. Mr. Peacock).

Who needs swans when there is a peacock and his lady-friend peahen running around?

Somehow I completely forgot about these two in the months leading up to the wedding.

A couple of years ago a lone peahen started hanging around the house. She was very curious, always checking out what we were up to when we would stay there. Sometimes she would even wander in the house, which always gave us the feeling that she was lonely. We often considered finding her a mate to keep her company.

A year later, out of the blue, Frederick showed up at the house as well! We have no idea where these two came from, but they seem to like it there and we are SO happy that the little peahen has company now. These days Frederick is the bold one, and the hen has been a bit bashful. We are hoping there will be little peacocks running around next year.
